The 112-ft face of Adiyogi at Isha Yoga Center now holds the record for the largest bust on the planet by Guinness World Records. One of the criteria listed on the website Guinness World Records of ‘What is a ‘world’ record?’- is that the proposal must be something, or about something that is known to the world’s majority. It cannot be too specific/regional.

Accordingly, on May 10, Guinness World Records recognized the Face of Adiyogi.
‘The largest bust (sculpture) is 34.24 m (112 ft 4.0 in) high, 24.99 m (81 ft 11.8 in) wide and 44.90 m (147 ft 3.7 in) long, achieved by ISHA Foundation (India), in Tamil Nadu, India, as verified on 11 March 2017.’
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev (born Mysore, 3 September 1957), often referred to as simply Sadhguru, is an Indian yogi, mystic, and author. He founded the Isha Foundation, a non-profit organization which offers Yoga programs around the world and is involved in social outreach, education and environmental initiatives. His books have appeared in The New York Times Best Seller list in multiple categories like “Health”, “Religion, Spirituality and Faith”, and “Advice, How-To & Miscellaneous”.
Sadhguru was conferred the Padma Vibhushan civilian award by the Government of India in 2017 in recognition of his contribution to the field of spiritualism.
