Enjoy the aggressive action by the Green ALCo beast honking madly chasing the two legged creatures off tracks to make its way clear. Hardly any takers for the Special train between Nagercoil – Krishnarajapuram – Nagercoil Holiday Special. Even the General compartments seem to be barely occupied.
The Special train is run by Southern Railways hence even if the occupancy is below 10% the Train has to still run in loss as the rake needs to return back to its base i.e Nagercoil due to rake sharing with Nagercoil-Gandhidham Express.
The reason for such a low occupancy is, there is already a Daily Express train to Nagercoil from Bangalore city in the evening and also another train from Mumbai to Nagercoil via Krishnarajapuram which just departed an hour before this train hence there is really no need for a special train from Bangalore on a Monday morning. A very poor planning of the Time Table has costed the Railways.
