Amazon sorry for ‘We Indians love helping’ ad
E-commerce giant Amazon.in faced strong criticisms on social media for its recent ‘We Indians love to help’ hoarding erected in Bengaluru. It featured a picture of a stalled Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus being pushed by a group of people with the caption ‘We Indians love helping’.
The public was quick to respond to the advertisement. The majority saw it as an insult to the state’s transport and soon took to social media to vent their anger.
The citizens unanimous asked on Twitter how can Amazon.in criticize KSRTC when it has got little clue about it. The reply to Amazon.in, mostly from Malayalis, was—”We are here to criticize our ill systems. We don’t need anybody from outside to do that.”
The company has reportedly removed the hoarding and apologized for the same.
