KTDFC is planning to increase the parking fee at Kozhikkode KSRTC terminal. Currently, they charged for two wheelers Rs 10 and Other vehicles Rs 20. Both charges are only for 8 hours.
MAK Association, new parking contractor is planning to increase the fees. Also, the parking period will be reduced. The fees increase will affect the ordinary people who are depending KSRTC terminal for vehicle parking. While comparing with railways, the current charges are high.
Most of the commuters are used this facility to park their vehicles from morning to evening. The Vehicles which using 80% of this facility are two wheelers.
The terminal which costs 70 Cr. was inaugurated in 2015. Ladies waiting room and VIP room are not yet opened. Till now the terminal has not received the NOC from Fire and Safety.
Youth federations and other political associations are going to protest against this public theft.
