Pariyaram: A bison was spotted on the premises of the Pariyaram Medical College on Tuesday, causing panic among residents of the area.
It was people travelling in a vehicle to Kadannappally who first spotted the animal at the medicinal plant garden here. As they stopped the vehicle to take pictures, the bison charged towards the vehicle. However, they managed to escape.
On information, Rapid Action Team led by Forest Range Officer Solomon Thomas George rushed to the spot. A search is on for the animal, which is enlisted as an endangered species.
