For Hindu nationalists and right wing activists, blasphemy was witnessed first hand on the streets of Bengaluru when a green coloured bus with a portrait of the father of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, was seen near Hosur Road.

No sooner was the picture clicked, it went viral from the account of a self proclaimed “Hindu Nationalist”, Neeraj Kamath.

The activist/HR professional who worked with the NaMo brigade in 2014, posted on his twitter feed the photograph of the bus which carried the picture of Jinnah on the back window pane of the bus.

“Bus With Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Photo In Bengaluru @CPBlr @narendramodi @HMOIndia @CMofKarnataka @KirenRijiju,” read the tweet.

Right wing activists, including RSS functionaries, started circulating the picture on social media website and groups.

As anger was seething among right wing and nationalists on social media, with allegations of the bus being that of a Pakistani and nothing more can be expected from a Congress government in Karnataka, an anti-climax was brewing at the other end.

A few media outlets and commonners replied to people citing that the bus was being used as a prop for a Malayalam movie being shot in the city, calming the far right voices.
Meanwhile, it appeared that Kamath pursued the matter further and spoke to the director of the Malayalam movie and apparently asked him to remove the picture of Jinnah.
While the director stood ground and claimed creative discretion, the owner of the bus fearing public backlash is said to have removed the picture of Jinnah.
“The Owner Has Apologised & Removed The Photo & Confirmed By Sending This,” read the right winger’s tweet.
