Cow stops train, Driver shouts to shoo it away !!
A cow moving on the tracks on the outskirts of Chandigarh Jn. stopped Barmer – Kalka express from entering Chandigarh Jn. The loco pilot applied sudden brakes to prevent crushing and the loco pilot shouts at the cow from the window ‘JAAAAAAAAAAAAA.’ Repeatedly to shoo it away and finally after multiple attempts the cow moved away clearing the track and letting the train enter Chandigarh Jn. Locomotive : First DLW made WAP 7 30521 ‘VARUN’, Train : Late running Barmer – Kalka express.

In the fiscal year 2017-18, IR is projected to have earnings of ?1.874 trillion (US$29 billion), consisting of ?1.175 trillion (US$18 billion) in freight revenue and ?501.25 billion (US$7.7 billion) in passenger revenue, with an operating ratio of 96.0 percent.
