Double-decker service for techies
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Now, techies working at the Technopark here too can enjoy the double-decker busservice of the KSRTC.
On Monday, the double-decker bus was flagged off from Technopark, which will take East Fort-Technopark-Kazhakoottam route via NH bypass every morning and evening.
The new service was awarded following the representation made by Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC), an organization of techies, to allocate more new bus services to Technopark.
VSC members accorded a warm reception to the first trip of the double-decker bus. KSRTC district and zonal managers, DTO and operational staff were present on the occasion. KSRTC zonal officer Shaji Kumar flagged off the service from Technopark.
Double decker will be parked near to Nila roundabout. The morning service from East Fort is expected to start by around 8am and will reach Technopark at 8:45am and return to East Fort via Kazhakkoottam. The evening service from East Fort will reach Technopark by 5:45pm and return service to East Fort via Chackai will start at 5pm from Technopark Nila roundabout, opposite IBS campus.
VSC vice-president S Rajeesh said, “There might be minor changes in the schedule of double-decker as the exact timing can be assessed only after two-three days”. TNN
