The 2016 Delhi Auto Expo is nearing, and the event is being organised by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) jointly with Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
So here are all the details you need to know about the upcoming event, which include participants, dates, venue, accessibility, food, and more.
Dates
The 2016 Delhi Auto Expo will take place from the 5th to 9th February, 2016.
Venue
The 2016 Delhi Auto Expo will take place in India Expo Mart Ltd (IEML). The venue is being prepared for the event from now itself. The venue measures 68,000 sqms, which is bigger than the previous edition. Also, during the public days, the 2016 Auto Expo is expected to have 20 percent more crowd compared to 2014.
Participants
During 2014, the Auto Expo had 55 participants or exhibitors. During 2016, however, there will be more than 65 exhibitors, which include brands like Ashok Leyland, Audi India, BMW India, Datsun, Fiat India, Ford India, General Motors, Honda Cars India, Hyundai Motor India, Isuzu Motors India, Jaguar Land Rover, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki India, Mercedes-Benz India, Nissan Motor India, Renault India, Scania Commercial Vehicles India, SML Isuzu, Tata Motors, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, VE Commercial Vehicles, Volkswagen, etc.
Two-wheeler exhibitors will include Hero MotoCorp, India Yamaha, Mahindra 2 wheelers, Piaggio Vehicles, Suzuki Motorcycle India, Triumph Motorcycles India, TVS Motor Company etc. There will also be new exhibitors like Abarth, BMW Motorrad, Jeep, DSK Benelli, Indian Motorcycle, etc.
Other Activities
Apart from the bustling exhibitions and launches, there will be a pavilion of vintage cars and focused activity area where outdoor activities, such as safety riding, driving simulators, etc.
Accessibility
Keeping in mind there will be more crowd compared to the last edition, the venue shall be made more accessible to the people at large as free frequent shuttle services would be provided from Botanical Garden metro station, the nearest metro station from the venue.
Food
To cater to the mass crowd, a host of food vendors will be there to cater to the varied taste of the attendees. There would be two restaurants from the Taj and the Radisson Hotels, quick-service restaurants ranging from KFC and to BTW (Bittoo Tikki Wala). The food court area has been ramped up by 1000 Sqmts.

The tickets can be booked online at www.autoexpo-themotorshow.in and www.bookmyshow.com The tickets are priced at INR 650 for the Business hours during weekdays (10 AM – 1 PM), INR 300 for General public hours during weekdays (1 PM – 6 PM), and INR 400 for weekends (10 AM – 7 PM).
