Excise officials seized Rs 10 lakh worth demonetised notes without proper documents from a passenger of the KSRTC bus at Walayar. The passenger identified as Praveen, 28, of Telugupalayam in Coimbatore was later handed over to the police.
Praveen was travelling in a KSRTC bus from Coimbatore to Thrissur when the excise department personnel conducted the inspection. The arrested was later produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
