Here Is How Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Is Modified Into Jeep Compass!

Maruti Suzuki has the Vitara Brezza as its bestselling SUV in the domestic market and it comes with several customisation options for buyers to choose different personalisation elements. However, not all owners want to contend with the originality of the subcompact SUV and some even explore possible opportunities in the aftermarket side of affairs.

Not everyone comes as quirky as this owner who wants to conceal the identity of his Vitara Brezza and transform it to a Jeep Compass. Yes! The Jeep Compass! Surprisingly, the work put in to the modification job has delivered positive results and the Vitara Brezza is now (somewhat) a Jeep Compass going by the exterior.

The important changes up front are the signature vertically-slated grille and the inserts on the front bumper and faux skid plate sourced from the in-house iCreate customisation platform of Maruti Suzuki. With the front end being sorted (kind of), not much work seem to have been done to the side and rear reflecting the Compass in the Brezza.

The modded Vitara Brezza uses the same powertrain found in the standard model as the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 89 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Considering the bigger Compass in reality, it derives power from a 1.4-litre petrol and 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel units.

The former delivers 160 bhp and 250 Nm and the oil-burner, which could be used in the upcoming Tata premium SUV as well, churns out 170 bhp and 350 Nm. Going by the facts, both the SUVs are completely different in the real world. However, the one similarity remains is that the Compass is bestselling model for FCA in India – in a similar fashion to the Vitara Brezza for Maruti Suzuki as far as SUV segment is concerned.
