Asia is known to be the biggest market for gold products. The consumption of gold as an asset as well as a piece of jewellery is extremely common. In fact, in India it is a symbol of how wealthy you are. Why should gold lovers leave that element out when it comes to their cars? Sunny Waghchure answers that question with his collection of cars all wrapped in gold. He resides in Pimpri-Chinchwad near Pune, Maharastra and has been termed as the “Gold Man”. Below are all the cars he owns in golden colour and they are all parked in India and not in any Middle Eastern country.
Audi Q7
Audi’s flagship SUV is one of the latest and quite a priced possession. The German automobile brand’s Q7 is wrapped in gold and is quite a star when its out on the road. It gain so much traction and attention on the road that Sunny generally has a convoy when he is out with this car, which is quite often. The Audi Q7 is powered with a 3.0 litre diesel engine and is backed by 7-speed automatic gear transmission.
Jaguar XF
Jaguar as a brand shouts class and beauty at the same time. Jaguar XF takes it to a whole another level as a mid-size luxury sedan sharing the market conveniently with the BMW 5 series in the Indian market. Obviously, this Jaguar XF is also all gold, shiny and glittery from the outside. This car was bought and modified in 2017. The Jaguar XF is powered with both the petrol and diesel engine options in India but we are yet to confirm the engine which is used in Sunny gold Jaguar XF.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Everyone who aims for a car that makes you feel like a boss goes for the Mercedes. The brand is synonymous to someone in the position of power. The Mercedes E-class is one of the bestselling premium luxury sedan cars in the Indian market since the launch of the car. The E-class comes with a really long-wheelbase and is extremely luxurious on the inside. Sunny’s gold-wrapped Mercedes E-class is the previous version of the E-class from the 2012 model and is still very commonly spotted on high end urban roads of India.
Land Rover Range Rover Vogue
Land Rover Range Rover is a common name amongst celebrity car names, making it one of the most popular SUVs for the white-collar in our country. The picture shows the L332 Land Rover Range Rover Vogue which is a previous generation of the current Range Rover Vogue. It looks like an extremely new purchase in Sunny’s car garage and is yet to be wrapped in his trademark car colour. We can’t wait to see the Land Rover Range Rover Vogue covered in gold on the Indian Roads.
Audi A3
The Audi A3 is an entry-level sedan from the German automobile manufacturer. It is an extremely common car on the Indian roads. The Audi A3 sold like hotcakes due to its perfect sedan size and the price tag that came with it. Sunny bought this car when it was first launched in the Indian market and we can’t wait for its pictures wrapped in the gold sheets along with other golden cars that Sunny owns.
