T. S. Kalyanaraman Iyer (born 1951) is an Indian businessman is best known as the chairman and managing director of Kalyan Jewellers and Kalyan Developers. Kalyan Group is the holding company of Kalyan Jewellers.

T.S Kalyanaraman Iyer was born in Thrissur, into a Tamil Brahmin family, as the eldest son of T. R. Seetharamaiyer. He was named after his paternal grandfather, who was also the founder of Kalyan Group. He learned the business from his father when he was 12, by helping his father in his shop. Later he joined Sree Kerala Varma College and studied commerce.

He started his first jewelry shop named Kalyan Jewellers in Thrissur City in 1993 with a capital of Rs 50,00,000. Later he expanded the business to 32 showrooms all over South India. In 2016, Forbes magazine’s latest annual tally of billionaires has listed Kalyanaraman in 1476th position with a net worth of $1.2 billion.

The Chairman and Managing Director of the Rs 8,500-crore Kalyan Jewellers, based in Thrissur, is now the proud owner of the first privately-owned jet in Kerala.

The State does have a few charter operators who own jet aircraft but this is the first in the private jet category. The aircraft is the 61st privately owned jet in India.

Kalyan Group is a holding company for the brands of Kalyan Silks, Kalyan Jewellers, Kalyan Developers, Kalyan Sarees and Kalyan Collections.[1] It is headquartered in Thrissur, Kerala, India. Kalyan Silks have four showrooms in Thrissur, and one each in Cochin, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kottayam, Dubai, Bangalore, Thiruvalla, Sharjah, and Muscat[2][3][4] and Kalyan Sarees have showrooms in Coimbatore, Thrissur, Calicut, Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur.

The group was started in 1909 by T. S. Kalyanarama Iyer, a priest who turned into an entrepreneur . He started a textile mill in Thrissur city in 1930s which was later taken over by Government of Kerala. He came from Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. Later he started a textile shop in Thrissur city which flourished into Kalyan Silks, Kalyan Sarees and Kalyan Collections. The group got its name from its founder Kalyanarama Iyer. Later his son T. K. Seetharamaiyer also joined the business. Seetharamaiyer in 1991 partitioned the businesses to five sons. T.S. Kalyanaraman, one of the five sons started the Kalyan Jewellers in 1993.
