An amount of Rs 150 crores have been earmarked for KSRTC which is in a crisis, in the budget. Presenting his 12th budget in the assembly, Finance Minister K M Mani said 17 crores have been reserved for renovation of bus stations and garages.

Apart from that, Rs 17 crore has been allotted for renovating the KSRTC and Rs 10 crore for fully computerization of the organisation.

Also, Kerala Govt has hiked the entry tax of contract carriage vehicles which is registered in other states which shown below. Which may badly cause the hike in bus fares from Kerala to other neighboring places like Bangalore, Chennai, Pondicherry etc. We hope KSRTC will introduce adequate number of Inter State super class buses to overcome the crisis which is going to happen in future.
