The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation(KSRTC) buses will commence its Kochi Metro feeder services on Monday afternoon. As many as 40 low floor air conditioned and non-air conditioned Kerala Urban Road Transport Corporation (KURTC) buses will conduct services from Aluva and Edappally Metro stations. KURTC is a subsidiary functioning under KSRTC.
Buses from Aluva metro station will conduct services to Angamaly, Perumbavoor and North Paravoor. Meanwhile, buses from Edappally station will conduct services to Mattancherry and Fort Kochi via Container Road.
“The fare of feeder buses has not been fixed so far. KMRL officials will fix it on Sunday. We have fixed Aluva and Edappally for starting the feeder services as only these stations will see major footfall of passengers in the initial stage. The buses will start service in every 15 minute interval,” said an official of the KURTC.
