“The fare of feeder buses has not been fixed so far. KMRL officials will fix it on Sunday. We have fixed Aluva and Edappally for starting the feeder services as only these stations will see major footfall of passengers in the initial stage. The buses will start service in every 15 minute interval,” said an official of the KURTC.

Besides 14 buses, allotted to the district under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), the new KURTC buses from neighbouring districts will reach Kochi on Sunday to begin services. Two special officers will be there at Aluva and Edappally stations to guide the passengers and coordinate services, which will be available from 5 am to 10.30pm.
Meanwhile, autorickshawas also promised feeder services to Metro stations, feeder buses and adjacent bus stands. As many as 1000 autos will be part of providing services in 72 identified feeder routes between Aluva and Palarivattom Metro stations.
