KSRTC conductor posts anti-Pinarayi comment on FB, gets suspended
Aryanad: As the center and state governments fasten their surveillance jolts on social media, a KSRTC bus conductor from Kerala has been suspended from service reportedly for criticizing chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a Faceboook post. Circular issuing the suspension of Aji Kanakkuzhi, a bus conductor from Aryanad depot, reached the office on Wednesday.
Aji had allegedly raised inappropriate remarks about the state chief minister under a public post put up by his colleague, which welcomed disciplinary action from the part of government. Local DYFI unit had organized a protest at the transport depot a few days ago, demanding a quick disciplinary action.
The CM had earlier said people in the cyber world should become ‘responsible netizens’.
The trend of using social media platforms for triggering communal tension, character assassination, and posting anti-women comments was on the rise, Pinarayi had said in the FB post.
