The government has shunted out KSRTC executive director P M Sharaf Muhammad from the post.
The move by transport minister A K Saseendran is learned to have come following complaints from minister Mathew T Thomas and Veena George, MLA, over the lack of bus services for the Maramon convention.
The executive director had earlier faced flak after bus scheduling went haywire after the Makaravilakku during Sabarimala pilgrimage.
Since then there were demands from several quarters for shifting him from the post. The minister had ordered a preliminary inquiry.
