KSRTC passenger sustains head injury after bus door falls over her
Nadeera (48), a resident of Pallinada Veedu, Poundkadavu, sustained injuries to her head after the door of the KSRTC JnNURM bus in which she was travelling came loose and fell over her.
She has been admitted at the Kazhakoottam A J Hospital.
The incident happened near Kazhakoottam junction at about 7.45 am on Tuesday.
It was the door of the bus JN 133 of Vikas Bhavan depot that was coming from Venjaramoodu to East Fort via bypass that came loose.
Nadeera was traveling from Venjaramoodu to her home in Poundkadavu, and the door of the bus came loose and fell inside as it started from the Kazhakoottam junction after dropping off passengers there.
The door made of metal alloy fell over the head of Nadeera who was sitting opposite to the door. Nadeera, whose head started bleeding, was immediately rushed to the hospital by her co-passengers and the bus employees. She had to have two stitches to her head.
Nevertheless, the hospital authorities have informed that the injury was not serious.
The bus suspended its operation at Kazhakoottam following the accident.
