The state government has decided to provide three-and-a-half acres of land to the KSRTC at Anayara. The land will be provided from the land that has been already allotted for the World Market here.
The decision was taken at a meeting held here. The land has been provided taking into account the necessity of the KSRTC. Moreover, the KSRTC depot at Anayara will only give a fillip to the world market, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said.
he depot that will come near the Veli Railway Station, Water Authority, Airport and the Kazhakkoottam-Kovalam Bypass will become one of the important city terminals, he said. It was also stated in the meeting that the developments that are coming up in Anayara will convert the place into a mobility hub.
Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan, Transport Minister Aryadan Mohammed, M A Vahid MLA and officials were present at the meeting.
