In an effort to ensure smooth flow of pilgrims from other states, the KSRTC is all set to start inter-state services to Pamba.
KSRTC will soon start services from Thenkasi, Palani, Coimbatore and Bangalore within a couple of days. More services from prominent destinations in other states will be started as the corporation gets permit.
“We are focusing mainly on railway stations like Chengannur and Kottayam, as many of the pilgrims coming by train prefer these nearest railway stations towards Pamba” said Easter Yashica, Special Officer, KSRTC Pamba.
The KSRTC is plying around 200 buses every day which include 250 long-distance services.
For the first time, the KSRTC would start services to Pamba from Bangalore. The process of securing permit for the same from Karnataka is going on.
