The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will start a Kozhikode-Mumbai service with a view to make inter-state travel more comfortable. If things go as expected, the service will be rolled out by the first week of January 2016.
According to KSRTC executive director P M Sharaf Mohammed, who is also in charge as Chief Traffic Officer, the corporation has approached the Maharashtra Transport Department authorities seeking steps to start the service.
In an effort to enter the fray for the Kozhikode-Mumbai route, the KSRTC will launch new air-conditioned multi-axle buses to ply the route. The buses will ply throughy Mangaluru, Belagavi, Kolhapur in Karnataka and Pune in Maharashtra.
