Campaign yields result, Record KSRTC ticket collection
The `save KSRTC campaign’ taken up by the KSRTC employees have yielded results on the first day itself with the daily ticket collection on Monday recorded at Rs 6.78 crore. Of the total collection, Rs 6.46 cr was collected from KSRTC while Rs 30 lakh from janram services.The record collection was last witnessed for the Uthradam day.
In a move to pull out the cash-strapped KSRTC from the red, the KSRTCEA (CITU) had organized a state-wide campaign highlighting the revenue collection and proper functioning.
The main aim of the campaign was to generate a collection of Rs 6 crore a day. The campaign mainly focus on calling up the destination place and telling them to board the bus just like private players, avoid a situation where a service gets cancelled when the driver or the conductor fails to turn up, proper behavior towards the passengers among others.
