KSRTC began its low-floor Non AC bus service on Kizhisseri – Manjeri route. P. Ubaidulla MLA, flagged off the services here. The low-floor bus is being operated by the Kerala Urban Road Transport Corporation, a subsidiary of the KSRTC, as part of enhancing urban transport under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
