Kollam: A leopard met with a tragic end when it got trapped in a fence at Kollam Aryakaavu Edapalayam. The fence was installed to prevent wild animals from trespassing into human habitation and from destroying farmlands.
There were rumours that a leopard was on the prowl in the area and local people erected the fence. The leopard got trapped when trying to cross it. The tapping workers found the leopard entangled in the fence and immediately informed the forest officials.
The forest officials reached the spot and before they could tranquilise the wild cat they realised it was in an unconscious state and died suddenly.
