Presiding over the Inauguration function, Minister for Transport Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said the KSRTC would begin an inter-State service from Malappuram to Bangalore. The new service was announced in response to a demand made by P. Ubaidulla, MLA. Mr. Radhakrishnan said efforts would be made to enhance the daily income of Malappuram depot from Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 6.5 lakh. “Employees should cooperate for that,” he said.
