Last mile connectivity to Delhi Metro stations in Ghaziabad will now be easier as the Uttar Pradesh road transport body launched its metro feeder bus service on 30th December. Uttar Pradesh State Roadways Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) chairman Praveer Kumar launched the bus service, which will charge Rs.10 from the Old Bus Stand to the Kaushambi Metro station.

“We are encouraged by the response from passengers. In its trial phase, the number of passengers was quite low, but slowly passengers have now started opting for the bus service to catch the Metro from Vaishali,” UPSRTC regional manager P.K. Bose said.

The bus will follow a route from the Old Bus Stand to New Bus Stand, Mohan Nagar, Vasundhara, Vaishali station, Kaushambi station and finally terminate at the Kaushambi bus stand just opposite the Anand Vihar bus terminus in east Delhi. Officials said the bus service will be helpful to people, as the odd-even numbered vehicle scheme would start from January 1 in adjoining Delhi.
