Chazhoor: Pullu village accorded a rousing reception to the first bus that operated service on the Manakkodi-Pullu road. Pullu resident Manju Warrier flagged off the first bus service on the road.
The road was constructed when V S Sunil Kumar was Cherpu MLA and was inaugurated in 2012 when Geetha Gopi was Nattika MLA. However, efforts to start bus service on the road did not bear fruit. The minister had promised during the inaugural ceremony that a KSRTC would operate a service on the road, but it never took off.

Thrissur – Kazhimbram via Pullu, Manakkodi : 08.55 am
Kazhimbram – Thrissur via Pullu , Manakkodi : 10.25 am
Thrissur – Kazhimbram via Pullu, Manakkodi : 01.25 pm
Kazhimbram – Thrissur via Pullu , Manakkodi : 02.45 pm
It was a long-pending demand of Pullu and Manakkodi residents to start bus service on the road. Those going to Thrissur can save 10 km of travel with the new bus service. The KSRTC bus that will start from Kazhimbram will go to Thrissur via Manakkodi.
It was decided to start a KSRTC bus on the road at a meeting chaired by Geetha Gopi MLA. The MLA, Manju Warrier and people’s representatives travelled in the bus in the first trip.
