The Nissan Sunny got quite the price cut this week when Nissan India announced a price cut of Rs 1.99 lakh. The vehicle’s price now starts at Rs 6.99 lakh onwards (ex-showroom Delhi). Prices can go up to Rs 8.99 lakh.

The Sunny comes with an option of two engines. You can either go for a 99 PS petrol engine or an 86 PS diesel one. Nissan claims that the petrol engine can give a mileage of 16.95 km/l (17.5 km/l in fuel efficiency mode). The diesel is supposed to manage 22.71 km/l.

At 490 litres, the boot is quite spacious.

A number of safety features are available, including ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and BA (Braking Assist). Front and side airbags are also an available.

If you want luxuries and some fancy accessories, Nissan will be happy to include electronically adjusted ORVMs with indicators, a reversing camera with park assist, an intelligent entry system, rear seat arm rests, steering mounted audio controls, handsfree controls, an i-key, an engine start-stop button and a lot more.

If gears are too much of a pain, you get the option of going for a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) that eliminates fixed gear ratios.
