Planning a trip from Palakkad to Thiruvananthapuram? This could come as a happy news for you. The brand new ‘minnal’ super fast bus service by KSRTC that runs on the Palakkad-Thiruvananathapuram route was flagged off by Shafi Parambil MLA. The new service is expected to reduce the travel time significantly, and at reasonable fares.
The service operates trips twice a day. The bus, which starts from Palakkad at 9.30 pm, is expected to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 4.05 am. The journey back to Palakkad follows the same time schedule. The second trip starts from Palakkad at 10.30 pm and reaches Thiruvananthapuram at 5 am, and the return journey from Thiruvananthapuram starts at 10.45 pm and reaches Palakkad at 5.15 am.
The super fast ‘minnal’ service has stops at Thrissur, Angamaly, Moovatuppuzha, Kottayam, and Kottarakkara.
The ticket fare from Palakkad to Thiruvananthapuram is Rs 361, while it costs only Rs 351 rupees from Thiruvananthapuram. This small difference is due to the slight variation in the route from Palakkad.
Tickets can be booked directly at the KSRTC station or online (www.keralartc.com). A 21-day advance booking is also possible.
