The story about a race that we are familiar with. Last day, I was on my way to Trivandrum, on a KSRTC transport. I have this crazy love for filmmaking, but most of the times when we plan to shoot things, there’ll be things limiting us like the budget, the cast, the equipment and so on. A movie will happen only when these things falls on the place.

Then I thought like, What if I want to make a film right now? I know it’s foolish to have such a thought when you’re on a bus, but that idea struck me real hard!!!
What I had in my hand was just a #MotoG phone, with a smart 720p resolution camera. I thought of what I could make out of it.
No big Tarantino idea came in, so I just started taking random shots. Like we used to film things when we were kids, with no rule of thirds, with no frame balance, I shot things that ran around me. The result was some raw footage. Shots of people rushing to offices, heavy traffic, students boarding school buses, zebra crossings and so on. I came home and sat with it. With premiere, I started cutting portions out of those 36 clips I took, arranged them in a timeline and played it.
When I connected the dots, I slowly realized that it contained a story of a ‘race.’ Then I wrote a narration script, recorded it on my phone, in my very own weird voice and taped it to the clips. I had no ‘instant background score’ support, so I went into my movie folder and rented some scores from great musicians(for which I’ve placed thanks in BOLD fonts).
So after a day of trimming and polishing, I think it’s almost ready. And I believe that it can be called as a short flick now(God knows). Rest is up to you people. Do watch and let me know. Excuse me for the 720p quality.
