Imagine buying a scooter for the price of an SUV or say, 20 Honda Activas. Well, we are talking about the new Vespa 946 Emporio Armani scooter, which has just been launched in India.
First showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the price of this elite scooter starts from Rs 12, 04,970. Yes, you heard it right.
The most extravagant offering from the brand under the Vespa label, 946 evokes in its very name the year it was born born, 1946. The collector’s edition two-wheeler came into existence last year to mark the 40thanniversary of Giorgio Armani and the 130th anniversary of the Piaggio Group and only 946 units were made in total.
It flaunts of Armani’s signature color palette, which has a perfect combination of grey and hints of green, which looks different in various lighting conditions. Apparently, there’s even a range of Armani clothing available to match the scooter.
Vespa 946 fits in it the most high-tech features you can dream of in a 125cc scooter and it includes ASR traction control, ABS, LED indicators, LCD instrument cluster that interacts with your Bluetooth enabled devices and 220mm double disc brakes at the front.
With the introduction of Vespa’s Emporio Armani edition, Piaggio is looking to strengthen its portfolio in the Indian market.
