Podiyakkala is a tribal settlement inside the sanctuary. This is the only bus service which connects tribals with the town. It also connects Meenankal, Peppara dam, Thiruvananthapuram and Nedumangad in it’s duty. In rainy season, we can see lot of bison or sometimes elephants through it’s route
