Thiruvananthapuram: All police personnel in Kerala will get free mobile connection with the government launching three different schemes which can bring a sea of change to how the police force communicate and co-ordinate various operations.
Samhita, Khaki Hats and Clone-free Hitech Smart Card are the three projects which will be unveiled by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a function at Tagore Hall here today.
‘Samhita’ is aimed at bringing all police personnel and Ministerial staff under one mobile network while providing free call service to them.
Khaki Hats is a unit of ethical hackers who is assigned with the task of curbing cybercrimes. Around 300 selected personnel will be given training in ethical hacking within two years under this scheme.
Clone-free Hitech Smart Card will help the personnel get easy access to financial and administrative services. The card is launched in association with C-DAC.
