Railway recruitment 2018: New jobs announced; know how to apply..
Indian Railways has announced a huge number of vacancies under its Apprentices programme at indianrail.gov.in or sr.indianrailways.gov.in. Candidates with minimum 10th pass qualification can apply for these post. Interested and eligible candidates must note that they can now apply through the offline mode after downloading the application form.
The railways will hire 737 personnel under various posts like Fitter, Machinist, MMV, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Welder, Electrician and others. The number of training slots are only approximate and may vary subject to concurrence by Associated Accounts, as per the job notification.The seats reserved for SC/ST may be interchanged for want of eligible SC/ST candidates. Similarly, the seats remaining unfilled by OBC Candidates will be filled by unreserved Category.
Railway recruitment 2018: Here are the details relating to the vacancies:-
1.PASAA
Educational Qualification: Should have passed 10th Class under 10 +2 System of education & National Trade Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training in “Computer Operator and Programming Assistant.”
2. Fitter, Machinist, MMV, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Welder Wireman, & R&AC posts
Educational Qualification: Should have passed 10th Class under 10+2 System of education and ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI.
3.Electrician
Educational Qualification: Should have passed 10th Class under 10+2 System of education with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent and ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI.
4. Electronics Mechanic & Winder (Armature)
Educational Qualification: Should have passed 10th Class under 10 +2 System of education with Science (Physics and Chemistry) and Mathematics or its equivalent and ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI.
Application Fee: Applications should be in the prescribed printed form only which can be downloaded from the website — sr.indian railways.gov.in. A crossed Indian Postal order for Rs.100 drawn not earlier than the date of issue of this notification (Not Refundable) drawn in favour of the Workshop Personnel Officer, Carriage and Wagon Works, Southern Railway Perambur, Chennai- 600 023 and payable at Chennai should be enclosed along with filled in application towards Processing Fee. Applications with out the processing fee, will be summarily rejected. SC/ST/PWD/Women Candidates are exempted from the payment of Processing Fee.
Medical Fitness:
The Candidates should be free from evidence of any contagious or infectious disease. The candidates should not be suffering from any disease which is likely to be aggravated by training or is likely to render him/her unfit for training or to endanger the health of the public. Candidates should be free from evidence of tuberculosis in any form (active or healed).
Height, Weight, Chest Measurements and vision:
a) Height: 137 cms.
b) Weight: 25.4 kgs.
c) Chest measurement: Expansion should not be less than 5 Cms (irrespective of size of the chest)
d) Vision: There should be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye or the lids of either eye which may be liable to risk or aggravation or recurrence.
