Stuck at Paliyekkara toll booth, actress Surabhi goes for a live protest
Frequent traffic blocks at the Paliyekkara toll plaza have been a headache for commuters on the stretch for years now. On Saturday, a celebrity came out with a strong protest against the mismanagement in toll collection which leads to huge traffic gridlock and results in harassment by the employees at the collection booth.

National award winning Malayalam actress Surabhi Lakshmi took to Facebook to mark her protest which reflected the public’s sentiments.
Surabhi, who was stuck in queue for hours, went live on Facebook slamming the staff at the toll booth who, she said, were harassing motorists.
The video also showed a family who was stuck in the traffic block on their way to a hospital.
Surabhi and her team were going for an event.
Staff of the toll booth are seen having an argument with the actor in the video.
The toll company has been directed to allow vehicles to go without paying the fee if more than five vehicles arrive at a time. However, the toll plaza employees refuse to abide by the rules, leading to clashes between them and the commuters.
