A wonderful journey will take you above the Yellapetty Estate of the Kanan Devan Hills Plantations. (Passing through Mattupatty Dam, Echo-Point, Kundalai Dam)
This wonderful trek will be through the mountain ridges the area where you can have a panoramic view of the low land Tamil Nadu, the view of second highest peak, Kolukkumalai the highest tea growing estate in the world etc..
This day trek will be short and adventures through the thick forest… and we will have the overnight camp in the beautiful valley of the mountain cliff which is surrounded by forests and the panoramic mountains. After reaching the campsite rest of the day is free for exploring the beautiful mountain ranges, bird watching etc… Over night camp in the comfortable tent at camp Footprint.
The camp footprint situates at the eastern slop of the Western Ghats and its one of best camps in and around Munnar for a sunrise so will have an early wake up for sunrise. After breakfast will start our trek on the mountain ridges of the eastern slops, offers fantastic view of tea plantations, second highest peak, the highest tea estate and the low land of Tamil Nadu, the vegetation we are passing which are good habitat for some endemic birds and wildlife, we may have chances to spot some of them during our trek (matter of chance) this day trek offers verity of nature like shola forest, ever green, montain forest, grass lands, tea plantations, villages etc…, will reach Top station border village for Kerala and Tamil Nadu, our camp will be close to the village at Top Station (1800 meters MSL).
