KSRTC bus passengers spotted a tiger near the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Karnataka last day.
The officials sounded an alert and stated that there was probability of the tiger attacking human beings again.
In this case, it appeared to be an ageing tiger. Ageing animals may not succeed attacking cattle.
The officials were earlier finding it difficult to identify the man-eater tiger as there were four tigers and five leopards in the Wayanad area. The possibility of tigers from the contiguous forests of Muthumalai-Bandipur coming here could not be ruled out, an official said.
