Up to 50 complaints every day against BMTC Staff

Every day, BMTC’s call centre receives up 50 complaints from passengers who are unhappy with the service. Complaints comprise rude behaviour of bus staff, non-issuing of change, air-conditioners not functioning, rash driving and buses not halting at designated stops.

The transport corporation will be providing a redressal system that will make it easier for commuters to file complaints.

“In addition to call centres, we will enable passengers to post complaints and suggestions through mobile apps. Passengers can give feedback on various issues, such as travel experience, condition of the bus, cleanliness and behaviour of the crew. The complaint redressal unit will take necessary action on the feedback from passengers,” said BMTC Managing Director V. Ponnuraj.
