Enjoy the colorful Inaugural run of the Yesvantpur – Karwar – Vasco Daily Express train. This is not a new train but a faster train between Yesvantpur – Karwar replacing the existing Train.
The new train bypasses Mangalore and directly enters Konkan Railway saving precious time on loco reversals thus providing a faster connectivity to Coastal Karnataka Regions.
What is more exciting was the Inaugural Train was operated by Woman Loco Pilots and Guard on the eve of International Women’s day making the vent more special.
The new train n will run as Jansadharan Special between Karwar and Vasco as there is no place to park the rake at Karwar.

The Train halts at CHIK BANAVAR – CHANNARAYAPATNA- HASSAN – SAKLESHPUR – SUBRAHMANYA – KANIURU – PUTTUR – BANTAWALA – SURATHKAL -MULKI – UDUPI – BARKUR – KUNDAPUR – BYNDOOR -BHATKAL – MURUDESHWAR -HONNAVAR – KUMTA – GOKARNA- ANKOLA – KARWAR.
The train number 16595/16596 will ply between Yeshwantpur and Vasco via Udupi and Karwar. It will reach Udupi via Sakleshpur and Padil. The train will depart Yeshwantpur at 6.45 pm and arrive in Karwar at 8.25 am the next day before reaching Vasco at 10.30 am. The train from Vasco will depart at 3.25 pm and reach Karwar at 5.45 pm. It will depart from Karwar at 6 pm and arrive at Yeshwanthpur at 8 am.
The new train service will replace the existing overnight Karwar express which connected Bengaluru and Karwar. A key change in the new route is that it does not travel to Mangaluru city, thereby saving time for passengers heading to Udupi and Uttara Kannada.
This arrangement solves several transport issues but the only point of complaint is among people in Mandya and Mysuru since the direct connectivity to Udupi and Karwar is disrupted.
The 16517/8 Bangalore – Kannur Express will continue to run all the days via Nelamangala and provide connectivity to Mangalore .
